Tata Motors has taken the wraps off the Altroz Racer, India’s fastest hatchback, at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show. This performance-oriented hot hatch, initially showcased as a concept at the Auto Expo 2023, is set to redefine the driving experience with a potent turbo petrol engine and a range of exciting features. Tata Unveils Altroz Racer and confirmed that at the heart of the Altroz Racer lies a robust 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, borrowed from the Nexon, capable of generating an impressive 118bhp and 170Nm of torque. The power plant will be paired with a responsive 6-speed manual transmission, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience. Two bold white stripes running along the hood and roof add a sporty touch, complementing the overall aesthetics. Sportier alloy wheels and an aerodynamic rear spoiler complete the exterior transformation, accentuating the Altroz Racer’s dynamic persona.
Interior Refinement: Aesthetics and Features
Inside the Altroz Racer, Tata has opted for an all-black theme, imparting a sporty and sophisticated ambiance.
Design elements such as white and orange stripes on the seats, orange highlights around the AC vents, and orange stitching on the leatherette seats and armrest contribute to the hatchback’s character.
The dashboard remains consistent with the standard Altroz but now hosts an impressive 10.25-inch touchscreen system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.
